Pickleball

Earlier in the term, Brandt was sick and missed a day of school when he had PE.  It was during the pickleball unit, and he needed to make up what he missed by playing a sport.  It didn't have to be pickleball, but the Drakes have a pickleball set they said we could borrow, we'd never played, and it seemed like a good time to try.  We took net, poles, paddles, and balls over to the church, and with ease set up to play.  We played boys against girls, but we didn't keep score, we didn't worry about serving properly, and we didn't play very well.  Blythe complained no one was hitting the ball to her, Brandt was all over his side of the court trying to hit every ball, even if it wasn't at all close to him, and Kent and I tried to maintain the peace when tempers flared.  We managed to play for about 45 minutes before deciding we had fulfilled the make up requirement and packed up equipment.  I took pictures in order to offer proof of our play to Coach.
