Father's Day

It's Father's Day, a wonderful time to celebrate Kent, the father of our family, as well as grandfathers who have moved on to the next life, and the good men in our lives.   Kent is such a great father.  He is attentive to the children, helpful, service-minded, and has so much more patience than I do.  He's steady and firm, faithful in the gospel, and a true minister to those less fortunate than himself.  We are blessed to have him as the father of our family.

Blythe brought home a wonderful paper she filled out at school, and then drew a remarkably funny little sketch of Kent that I wanted to include here.

I love the answers to these questions.
She didn't get his height or weight correct, but I think otherwise, she did a pretty good job.
Kent likes Thai food better than Mexican, but he does like a good enchilada.
I love "He likes to wear cloths"

The kids sang in sacrament meeting.  I tried to take a picture of them, knowing this would be the last time Brandt sang with the Primary before his birthday in just a couple of weeks, but the pictures are super blurry.  Serves me right.  I probably shouldn't be taking pictures during sacrament meeting.

We decided to gather with the Barri this afternoon.  Lee and Cammie came over to join us for dinner, and before the evening was over, the Brinkerhoffs showed up.  They are coming for a week or so, being here before heading south to spend a few days in Cedar City.  It was great to be with all of them, and to celebrate the good men in our lives.  We miss Grandpa De and Grandpa George.
