Concerts in the Park

June in Provo means concerts in the park with Utah Premier Brass.  We love the concerts and go regularly, and this year we've had the added inducement to attend because Brandt's band teachers from this past year both play in the band.  We only made it to two concerts this year because of a Brinkerhoff visit on Father's Day, and a DeMartini family thing the other week.  But we went the first and last weeks of June and enjoyed both weeks.  The first Sunday we invited Saneh and Willie Echols.  It was fun to have them with us, and lovely to visit with Saneh.  The anniversary of Bill's death is on Father's Day, so we hoped to take her mind off that for a bit.  This evening, just the four of us went, but it was a beautiful evening, the music was good, and we had a nice time.  Brandt participated in the children's march, but Blythe wouldn't.  We love the concerts in the park.

From our first week

Brandt marched alone.
I couldn't convince Blythe to go.

From our second week

I think I take this same picture every year.

Our marcher.
Again, he marched alone.
Well, with lots of other people, but not with us.
