Happy Anniversary!

Twenty-one years.  That's how long Kent and I have been married today.  Twenty-one years.  Sounds like a really long time.  But looking back on those 21 years, time has passed quickly.  I remember our wedding day and honeymoon (wink wink), and the early years of our marriage in New York.  I remember lots of feelings upon our return to Utah, and all the really good things that have happened to us during all that time.  Life is good.  Kent is good.  Our marriage is good.  We are blessed, and I'm so happy to celebrate our life together.

We had plans to go away for an over-nighter, alone, but it turns out we had a house guest this week.  So tonight, after Kent got home from work bearing beautiful red roses, we all went to dinner together--Kent, me, the kids, and guest (Christopher Adelman).  We went to Texas Roadhouse (we had a gift card), and Brandt was intrigued by the treatment of those whose birthday it was.  The birthday celebrate is made to sit on a saddle, has a light shined on them, and all those in the restaurant who care to participate give a salutary birthday whoop.  Brandt felt that Kent and I should sit on the saddle and be whooped for our anniversary.  He asked the waitress what they do for anniversary people, and Kent and I assured her nothing was required.

Today is also the day we celebrate Brandt's eternal day.  He was sealed to us nine years ago.  Again, the time has passed so quickly, filled with many good days.  We are blessed.  So, so blessed.
