Field Trip Friday #54--Midway Ice Castles

For Field Trip Friday, we made a trip to Soldier Hollow in Midway to visit the ice castle.  Cousins came too, and we had a fun though chilly time tromping around in the ice and rain.  Blythe ran around with Makenna, Brandt ran around with Guy and the boys, and the adults tried to keep track of little people.  They had a new feature this year--ice slides.  They were slippery, wet, and cold, but practically everyone came wearing their snow pants, so the wet wasn't such a big deal.  Anna and Elsa were there, as well as hot chocolate.  It was great fun, and the ice backdrop and cold temperatures made for bright, rosy cheeked pictures.

We were at the ice castle, with the cold and the rain and the snow,
and Christopher was wearing shorts.

They were all waiting for the ice slide.
