A Parade! In October!

It was Homecoming for BYU this past weekend.
We participated in no activities other than the parade.
But the parade!
It was just right:
Not too long, lots of music, and tons, tons, tons of candy.
Everyone threw candy.
Even Brandt was impressed; at the end of the parade when he picked up his candy-filled bag to go home, he said,
"This is really heavy."
It was a beautiful day, slightly overcast but not cold.
We rode our bikes with Kent pulling the children.
Waiting none too patiently for the parade to start.
Hurry up!

Check out that hair.  He had his hood on, and now he doesn't.

The BYU Marching Band.
We love the band.

George Q Cannon fired right in front of us.
Brandt in the corner wisely covering his ears.

A Chinese dragon.  Neither Brandt nor Blythe liked it.

The colorful BYU Folk Dancers

Kent and Brandt watching the action.

And Katherine and Blythe, also watching the action.
Blythe is showing off her candy bag.

My favorite entry.  This is a motorized couch.
