Band Competition

Each year BYU hosts a high school band competition at the football stadium and then puts on an exhibition of some sort.  Brandt loves the band.  They practice in the parking lot adjacent to the stadium, and we will wander over to listen sometimes.  The chance to go listen to and watch marching bands is a real draw, even if they are only bands of the high school variety (the exhibition portion featuring the BYU marching band didn't begin this year until 9:40pm when practically all of us were already in bed).  The music was fun, the color guards and formations were impressive, and the weather was perfect.
Not only did we get to listen to bands, the children got to run up and down the aisles.
There were so few people to actually bother.

We liked this band.  They played Bolero.
