Hee Haw Farms

More sunny days this week.  To take advantage of the season, I took the children, along with Tysen and her children and Shaley, to Hee Haw Farms.  They have a corn maze, a pumpkin patch, fun slides, animals, and a hay ride.  It was all so much fun.

More tractor pictures because where there's a tractor, there are the children.

I found myself singing "Oh, what a beautiful morning!" as we tromped through the maze of corn "as high as an elephant's eye."

Brandt leading the way through the maze.

Which way to go?

Blythe doesn't know which way to go either.

Feeding the horses.
Blythe really wanted to feed the horse, but couldn't work up enough nerve.

Slides on the top of big piles of hay.

Brandt had to fight his way to the slide, but he made it.

A mini maze Brandt ran around . . .

with Blythe following right behind.

Another large slide we went down on gunny sacks.  It made Brandt and Blythe both a bit nervous.

We took a hay ride.
Here I am with Brandt, Ava (mostly  hidden), Blythe, and Crew.
The ride was bumpy; my bum came off the hay at least twice.

Watching over the edge.

Crew, Brandt, and Ava, with Blythe in the background.

There were pretty cool pedal carts.
The children were only big enough to ride the small one, but that didn't stop them.

Here is Griffin pushing Blythe.
And here is Blythe pushing Griffin.

And Mom pushing Brandt.  I pushed fast and mostly had to say, "watch where you're going."
You can see he isn't.

In the animal petting area, Brandt touched a pig,

and a goat,

 and ducks,
and a chicken.
Blythe touched nothing--I couldn't even put her down.

Riding to the pumpkin picking patch in the wheelbarrow.
No one wanted to walk.
That's the back of Griffin's head.
Brandt's own picked pumpkin.

And Blythe's.

And even mine.

A happy mom with her happy children.
Enjoying the sun, sun, sun.
