Go-carts and Golfing

It has been G week at our house.
For our G week activity we drove go-carts (well I drove and the children rode)
and went golfing (the miniature variety).
We were joined by our DeMartini cousins Blake, Makenna, and Luke.
Cousin Blake making a speedy turn.

And the same Cousin Blake with Blythe.

Mikayla keeping Blythe with us, by putting her on her shoulders.

Mom and Brandt getting ready to GO!
These two seater go-carts were neither very roomy nor very speedy.
On the straightaways they did okay, but as soon as you had to turn, they bottomed out.
For a lead-foot like me, that was mildly frustrating.
Brandt thought we went plenty fast.

On the move.
Brandt is having a good time.  We laughed and laughed all the way around.

Here are Lala and Luke making an inside pass.
Lala is gloating as she goes by.

Mikayla and Luke, cruising.

Can you get over the hair on this kid?
Too cute!

Round Two of go-carting.
Mikayla drove Makenna; I drove Blythe.

Like Brandt, Blythe loved the wind whipping through her hair.

Mikayla trying to pass.
I took the inside track and held her off.

After go-carting, we did our golfing.
The children all golfed at once, chased each other's ball, and ran from hole to hole.
We didn't even golf a whole round.
Didn't matter a bit.  We had a great time.
Check out that form.

Luke had a vicious back swing.  We all had to stand out of the way.

Mikayla giving Blythe a pointer.
She paid attention.

Brandt checking his lie, judging the wind, and determining the best way to swing.
Too funny.

Blythe's form was actually better than Brandt's.
I think I'll look into signing her up for the LPGA tour.

Look how serious she is about her ball placement.

The "G" team: me, Blake, Mikayla
Brandt, Luke, Blythe, and Makenna
We are all squinting into the sun.
