FHE with the Cul-de-sac

This year, we got new neighbors in the cul-de-sac, the Stovalls, who moved into John and Nancy Crawley's house.  John and Dakin have five children, two of whom are Brandt and Blythe's ages.  They have been a great addition to the neighborhood.

This week, they hosted a cul-de-sac FHE, and invited us all to bring a treat and come spend the evening.  They were going to provide hot chocolate and wassail, and an activity we could do together.  We gathered, and I'm happy to report that every house in the cul-de-sac had someone come; we were all represented.  The Stovalls have a rather large set of chimes, and we played Christmas carols together, ate cheese and crackers, talked and talked, and got to know each other better.  It was a lovely evening and once again made me so grateful for our neighborhood and the good people we are surrounded by.
