Conference Weekend

I certainly love General Conference.  The messages are uplifting, the counsel direct, the encouragement real.  The kids like it because we get treats every time a prophet speaks, and they are both getting better about sitting to listen.  They will irritate and harass each other by poking and prodding and taking each other's seats, but it's better.  They are at least there in body.  Grandma Sue came to listen with us for a session and worked on a puzzle with us, and we had crepes for breakfast on Sunday.  We met with the Barri at our house on Saturday evening for ribs before sending the men off to the priesthood session, but I forgot to take a picture.  Matt and Cindy came with their four small children, and I suggested we play a game or two to entertain them.  We played Animal Bingo (many rounds!), All Around Town, Snug as a Bug, and Count Your Chickens--all the little kid favorites.  Sunday afternoon we went to Grandma Sue's house.  Our kids ran around with all the other kids.  Then, in the evening, we walked around the neighborhood.  Beautiful sunset to remind us of how much God loves us.  It was a wonderful two days.
