DeMartini Family Christmas Party

This evening we gathered with the DeMartinis for a Christmas party and visit from Santa.  We brought tasty treats, told Santa what we hoped he would bring us, and had a photo booth with silly picture results.  As always, Brandt refused to sit on Santa's lap, even though he knew him, but Blythe did and asked for a Barbie airplane, which has been at the top of the list since the beginning.  The kids played in the basement and on the computer on the sly, while the adults talked upstairs.  I can confidently say a good time was had by all.

Neither of these pictures of Brandt was taken at the DeMartini family Christmas Party.
I took them two days before.
But we didn't get a picture of just Brandt at the party, and he's wearing this silly hat,
so I'm going to include it here.

Santa asked Blythe to help disperse treats.
She did a fine job.

Blythe sat on Santa's lap.

Brandt did not.
He stayed about as far away from Santa as he could while not hiding in the laundry room
and remaining in the same space.
He ate treats instead!

One of the kids brought home a funny paper from school with a way to find your elf name.  Using the first letter of your first name, and then the month you were born in, you can come up with a silly moniker.  As Kent and I and Brandt and Blythe have the same first initial, I decided to use some discretion about which letters I chose.  So pictured here with Santa are Snowball Marshmallow Feet (Katherine), Evergreen Floppy Feet (Kent), Squeezy Turkey Breath (Blythe), and Happy Dancy Toes (Brandt).  Terrible last names for Kent and Blythe, but those were the names from the months they were born.
