Owl Pellets

Brandt got to dissect an owl pellet today in school.  He came out of school waving a small Ziploc baggie and exclaiming to me about everything he saw.  He could hardly wait to get home, dump it out, and show me all the cool little bones he found.  During class, he used a printed sheet to try and identify which animal the bones came from, and which bones went where.  In his pellet he had four small skulls and lower jaw bones, lots of other little bone bits, and some fur.  I thought it fairly fascinating and enjoyed listening to Brandt tell me all about it.  Fourth grade is pretty cool.
