Demolition

Coming home from Costco today, just as we were pulling out of the parking lot, we saw a house being razed.  Most of the homes around Costco have been torn down, and this one was one of two remaining.  Our timing was excellent.  There was an excavator actively tearing the house apart.  We pulled over, turned off the car, and watched for probably half an hour.  The kids were tickled when the windows broke into hundreds of pieces and as the walls were knocked over.  They kept yelling to the excavator operator, "GET THE WINDOWS!" as if he could hear over the roar of the equipment.  Brandt deemed the whole thing "intense," but would have liked to see an explosion in addition to the excavator making so much rubble out of what was one someone's humble abode.  Blythe and Brandt both took video on the phone and complained when we finally had to go.
