Date Night

Tonight, Kent and I got to go see a premiere showing, before the movie actually opens, screening of The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies.  It was sponsored by the law firm that handles all of Kent's work stuff.  It was at the Gateway in Salt Lake, and when I told Mikayla about it, she volunteered to watch the kids for the whole evening.

We made a night of it.  I picked Kent up from work just after 4:00 and we went to dinner at Happy Sumo at the Gateway.  It was delicious.  We split tempura veggies and shrimp, a delicious sushi roll, and some pot stickers.  The law firm had a pre-screening reception area with hot chocolate and different candy you could take to the movie.  When we checked in to get our tickets, Kent "won" a spiffy backpack, and when we got into the theater, there was free popcorn and drinks.  The movie was good.  Kent's review was, "Lots of fighting.  Very exciting."  My review, "Lots of Legolas.  Very exciting."  So, fighting and Legolas.

We were able to talk all evening without being interrupted, we did people watching, and we had a super fun date with with very little cost.  It was wonderful, magical even.

I did take a picture of me and Kent with my phone in the movie theater, but it was so dark, pretty much all you can see are our teeth and the tips of our noses.  It's creepy, so no picture to accompany the post.
