The Dudes Get Baptized

This morning we went to the Dude's baptism.  Crew and Griffin were baptized and confirmed by Christopher, and then we followed up the service with lunch and a birthday celebration for Ava, whose birthday it is today.  The baptismal service was really nice.  Grandma Sue spoke about baptism.  The family of another boy sang a song, made even sweeter by the boy being baptized who sang along.  He was mentally handicapped in some way, but he sang with conviction.  He was baptized first and we waited in the chapel for really a long time.  Turns out, he had to be baptized six times because he couldn't keep all his body parts under the water.

I always feel the Spirit very strongly when I am at baptisms; the Holy Ghost confirms my testimony of the importance of baptism every time.  Today was no exception and I was teary throughout the whole process.  It is wonderful to be able to share these important experiences and moments with family.  We had a nice lunch and fun birthday celebration afterwards, finishing off a lovely baptism day.
