Not Field Trip Friday, but Sorta

Brick has his final session of Tumbling Tots at the Rec Center this afternoon, and Brandt and Blythe got out of school early today for a district-wide training something or other, so we all went to the Rec Center to play after school.  Brick did his class with much (much, too much) help from Brandt and Blythe who fought over who got to assist.  I was wearing a skirt and didn't realize I would need to participate, so it was good my B & B were so anxious to be involved.  Brick got a graduation medal and fruit snacks  on his final day.

Because we were going to be there anyway, we went swimming.  Brick loves the small slides, though really wanted to go on the big ones.  He's too short.  Brandt and Blythe did the big slides and were very good to play with Brick.  We all liked the lazy river and going around the whirlpool ("toilet").  The water wasn't too cold, so no one got blue lips until we'd been there over an hour.  It was a fun afternoon activity, just like Field Trip Friday, but on a Thursday instead.

Mikayla had a waterproof camera case in Brick's swim bag, so I tried to take a couple of pictures.  They didn't turn out very well.  I wasn't really surprised.

Coming out the water slide and making a big splash.
