Field Trip Friday #43--Primary Program Practice and DeMartini Halloween Party

Sunday will be our Primary program during sacrament meeting, and this afternoon, right after school, was the practice.  That meant that our Field Trip Friday activity was taken care of for me.  I went over just before the practice was supposed to be over so I could take a picture, but they had already finished and the kids were walking home.

The fun just kept happening, however.  We gathered with the DeMars for a Halloween party because we like to be together, we live close to each other, and the kids need more than one chance to wear their Halloween costumes.  Most of the day, Mikayla and I, then Grandma Sue prepared Halloween themed food to accompany the pizza Tysen was picking up.  Mikayla carved a small pumpkin that vomited guacamole (perfect puke face!), a cinnamon-y caramel fruit dip with cinnamon crisp chips and apples to dip in, candy corn sugar cookies, mummy pretzels, roasted red pepper dip, a brain carved watermelon (more excellent carving by Mikayla), and crunchies, so there would be something healthy to eat.  Tysen also made spider donuts and peanut butter cup brooms, and Mom brought some chocolate popcorn with gummi worms and M&M and other fun things in.  We took pictures, ate, and played a couple fun games Sharae had prepared (she's always good with the games!).  We had a great time together, and I love the picture of all the kids in their costumes.

The serious expression doesn't really work with the hat.
