Today is World Kindness Day. In honor of Mr. Rogers, a person who believed so completely in the power of kindness, I wore my red cardigan. I also tried to serve and say nice things to everyone. I recently read a biography of Mr. Rogers. He was as nice in person as he appeared on his TV show, and I loved watching Mr. Roger's Neighborhood. He said, "There are three ways to ultimate success. The first way is to be kind. The second way is to be kind. The third way is to be kind."
He also said, "Imagine what our real neighborhoods would be like if each of us offered, as a matter of course, just one kind word to another person."
Don't you love this? I do. And I am going to try harder to be nice to everyone, because everyone is my neighbor.
