Outdoor Movie Night

We had our annual family outdoor movie night in our backyard this evening.  Kent bought a portable screen at the surplus sale at Rock Canyon, and so we set that up, rather than hanging a sheet from the side of the house.  It worked out really well.  Last year we tried to watch Jungle Book but the sound didn't work well so we watched something else.  I put that on again this year, a better copy, but it wasn't engaging enough to any of the boys.  They spent most of the evening running around together behind those of us watching the movie, or wandering around the front yard.  It doesn't really matter as the goal is to be together, but next year we'll try for something a bit more exciting.  We did have great snacks, and it was fun to be outside on a beautiful evening.

Blythe wanted all 247 of her stuffed animals to watch the movie with her, but there really wasn't enough room in the observation area for all of them.

She had to pick her favorite six or seven.
