Block Party V

Tonight was the Drake Family hosted fifth annual Block Party.  Always a good time, we gathered with neighbors from up and down the street to eat, talk, and seriously party.  The Drakes got a dunk tank again, had 600 water balloons to launch from the Watkins' yard, had a giant rope for tug-o-war, and had lots of wiggle cars on hand for races.  The weather and company couldn't have been more perfect from beginning to very late ending for those who stayed to watch Finding Nemo (Brandt and me, though I talked with my friends while he watched with his).  The tug-o-war match ups were fun: boys v girls (girls won), dads v kids (dads won), moms v kids (moms won).  We hardly saw the kids all evening, though I am confident they ate nothing nutritious and lots that wasn't.  We love our neighbors and we love having this super fun event to kick off summer.

Neither Brandt nor Blythe got into the dunk tank, 

but they were both very helpful in getting others in.
