Kent has only just recently received a new calling in the ward. Mike Drake came to him and said, "We're throwing you to the wolves," by which he meant, Kent gets to be the Wolf den leader. It is a calling he will be very good at, and it will be especially fun as Brandt begins cub scouts soon and will be in his den.
Today, Ruth Jensen (who Kent is replacing) didn't have anyone to help her with the scout activity--a trip to the Museum of Peoples and Cultures--and as Kent can't go with Ruth, I was volunteered. That was fine, except I had to take Brandt, Blythe, and Brick. It worked out, although it was a bit silly in some respects. Blythe was good to follow Brick around which was very helpful, but she kept picking him up and hauling him around which he didn't like at all. Brandt sort of participated, but he sort of didn't too, mostly I expect because he felt a bit out of place.
