Canine Visitor

Cinder Lawrence, who I work with, has a service dog named Hera. She's a lovely rough collie, big and fluffy with a long nose. She's quite charming and comes to work with Cinder. She's exceptionally well trained and most people wouldn't even know she's at work.

Cinder had an appointment today right after work and because it was in the opposite direction from her home, she asked if Hera could come hang out at our house until she was done. Moo Moo likes other dogs, so I readily agreed. Hera rode home in the backseat, poking that long nose of hers between the seats to see what was going on outside.

Hera was delighted to be at our house, pleased with the attention lavished on her by Isabella and Brandt, and thrilled to see Moo Moo. Moo Moo was not as thrilled to see Hera, especially in her house. I sent them both outside to run around, which they did, but Moo Moo wanted to come in before Hera, and then was very needing of attention, love, and scratches. I assured her we love her best of all, she is our favorite dog, and Hera was not going to be there long, but Moo Moo was still a bit anxious.

When we sat down for dinner, Hera was keen to be right by us, but she's big, her long nose was at table height, and I made her sit by the couch. She's so good, she sat there, but she crept forward a bit so she would watch us. Moo Moo lay down in the office, a place she never is normally, but which had a direct view of Hera. Moo Moo wanted to keep an eye on the interloper.

It was fun for us to have Hera with us, but I'm confident Moo Moo was pleased to see her go.

who was across the house in the family room watching us.

When Hera lay down,
Moo Moo was able to do the same.
