BYU Women's Volleyball with Young Women

Our friends Chris and Sandralee Jensen offered us tickets to the BYU women's volleyball game this evening. Isabella has been wanting to do things with Mila and Vika, and I suggested that we all go to the volleyball game today. That sounded great to Isabella and to Mila and Vika, so I took them all out for the evening. Normally I wouldn't have had enough time to do anything in advance, but I took the day off to have a colonoscopy (oh boy!), so I was available earlier in the day than I normally would be.

We went to dinner before the game at Zao's. That was Mila and Vika's choice. We had a lovely dinner, chatted lots and lots, and then went to do some shopping for fabric. Isabella wants to make a blanket for a friend and we had a little bit of extra time before we had to be at the volleyball game. The girls looked and looked and looked and looked at fabric and found lots and lots and lots of things that would be so fun to make a project with. We settled on the fabric for Isabella's blanket.

The match was terrific! It went to five sets, was tight, and was really excellent volleyball. The girls were much more interested in the snacks. They enjoyed the music in between the points and sets, they liked watching what was going on all around us, but I'm not sure they loved the volleyball game. At the end of the third set, when we were going to have to play another, all three girls were ready to go and fairly disappointed that we had to stay. At the end of the 4th set, they said, "Do we get to go now?" Nope. They were good and lasted until the end and I was delighted that we had such a fun evening altogether.
