Today there was a solar eclipse. From our latitude, we couldn't see the full eclipse, but we could see a good chunk of the sun being covered by the moon. Funny thing was, we observed the eclipse at the funeral of our neighbor and friend Bill Bingham. He loved scientific things, including eclipses, so at his viewing, before the funeral, the family handed out eclipse glasses. Many people stood outside with their glasses on watching the eclipse as we waited before the funeral started. It was a funny venue to watch an eclipse, but I was glad to see it. The funeral was very nice.
