Father's Day

Happiest of days to the great dad who lives at our house!  Kent is truly the best.  He's kind and patient, willing to participate in pretty much everything, he believes in the children, and speaking kind words.  He doesn't sweat the small stuff and never creates added drama.  He's just what we need around our house to counteract some of the histrionics others of us create.  He's faithful and diligent and committed to our family and God.  We love him, are grateful he's the dad in our family, and will keep him around.

Blythe sang with the Primary a very nice Father's Day song during sacrament meeting.  I think she's ready to move on from Primary, and she certainly looks like a person who shouldn't be there anymore.  She'll sing, but then sit down and say she didn't really sing, she only mouthed the words.  Sounds like Brandt at the same age.  Must have something to do with the last year of Primary.

This evening, after a lovely dinner which I lovingly prepared, we went to a concert in the park.  Kent loves those (we all do), so it seemed a fitting way to finish off the day devoted to him.

How about that great tie Blythe made for Kent?
Top drawer!

Father's Day always makes us think of other fathers, including Grandpa George and Grandpa De, both of whom we really, really miss.  I wonder if they miss us as much as we miss them.  Here's to good men in our lives, who influence here and from the hereafter.

Post edit: I discovered a very funny All About My DAD list Brandt completed.  There is a great drawing at the bottom of it too.  Kent and I laughed and laughed about this whole thing.
