Today we took care of Brandt's last spring break request. We went swimming at the rec center. Eugene came with his kids, Mikayla and Brick joined us, and I picked up Donovan so he could have an outing too. We went pretty early, around 10am, and there weren't too many people there yet. The kids had fun with cousins, I talked with Eugene and Mikayla, and we enjoyed being active. Brandt and Blythe just love to be in the water. The crowd factor increased the closer it got to noon, but by then, we had swam and were ready to go. We stayed just long enough for the kids to go down the big slide once, and then got out of the madness.
Thursday is vision therapy, and since we weren't out of town, we went. Blythe is always bored, bored, bored at vision therapy, and while she is usually playing at Ellen's house when we go, she wasn't today. I read to her a bit, but she got bored and wanted to play on the phone. I rested my eyes while she did. Here is the photographic evidence of both activities.
Brandt and Blythe spent the rest of the evening playing with friends. It is wonderful to have neighbor friends to run around with, and I'm grateful the Oylers have moved into the cul-de-sac.
