Visitors

I am super behind on blog posting, so over the next week, I am going to try and play a bit of catch-up.  As a result, entries will not be in the order in which things happened.  They are moments I want to remember, and as such, they must be recorded.

On June 13th, Grandma Dawn came over to take Blythe to do some birthday shopping.  She is so good to the children; she is a tremendous blessing in our lives.  She brought along McKenna and Greyson and stayed to play for a bit before their shopping outing.  It was lovely out, so we enjoyed the swings and chatted while the children (most of them) ran around.

Blythe returned home from her shopping with a pretty cool Snoopy snow cone maker.  It has a crank handle and works with ice cubes.  In theory, the whole thing is a great idea.  In practice, not so much.  It only shaves one ice cube at a time, it is hard to turn, and it produces so little ice it frustrates most everyone--the person cranking and the person waiting for a snow cone.  But we all had a bit of cold flavored ice.  We sort of joked that we could use the Snoopy snow cone maker during the Zombie Apocalypse as it doesn't require electricity.  I'm not sure how important snow cones will be during the Zombie Apocalypse, but it will be nice to have the option.
