A New Perspective on Dinner

We had a dinner picnic in the park this evening.  There were a few mosquitoes flying around and Brandt was anxious that he was going to be bitten.  Kent had told him that mosquitoes like to bite you with their proboscis  and suck some blood.  We tried to assure him that it was far less than even a drop of blood, but the idea, even though he's actually never had a mosquito bite, was disturbing.

He asked why mosquitoes eat our blood, and Kent said they must think we taste good.  There was a pause and then Brandt said, "We are mosquito food!"
