Fireworks!

Two nights ago we lit off fireworks.  Our kids go to bed before it is dark, so we went in the backyard where it was shady and moderately "dark" for 7:30pm.  Didn't really matter to Brandt or Blythe.  They were happy to watch, though both of them thought it was loud.  We lit one and before we had the second out, our across the street neighbors were peering through the fence.  I let them in.  A visiting neighbor, Dillon, was highly charged with excitment.  I was worried he was going to blow himself up.  Fortunately, my own boy is more cautious; he was reluctant to hold a sparkler.

I'm not sure what happened to Brandt's head in this picture.

It looks like it has been pulled out of shape.

They like it, but it is loud.

Kent doesn't like it so much.
