Eagle Scout Project Completion

After many months of worrying about what Brandt would do for his eagle scout project, and then worrying about getting it done once he had decided, he is finally finished! Now, we haven't finished the paperwork, which is a whole ordeal all by itself, but the actual work he was going to do is all done. The five carnival games we put together for the Rock Canyon Extravaganza have been painted, we've put on the vinyl signage, and we've got the gear and prizes. Tomorrow, Brandt and Kent will deliver all the games, and we'll breathe a sigh of relief. Sadly, due to Covid-19, the Extravaganza has been cancelled and won't be until next May, but our part is done. Had the Extravaganza gone forward, Brandt would have arranged for volunteers to help man the booths, but someone else will have to worry about that next year.

Here are the completed games. I think they look terrific!

Some extra pictures thrown in.
Photo documentation of workers.

Blythe helped do this one, coloring inside those muffin tins.

Delivery went well, except they had a hard time getting the Splat! board into the school. While they were able to get it in the building, they couldn't get it up the stairs into the mezzanine where they wanted to store it. It had to go into a classroom they use to hold stuff. I guess that's not really our problem either.

In addition to the games, Brandt raised so much money, we were able to donate over $500 to the PTA. That's a really great thing as funds have been low and they need help as they plan for next year's activities.

Hooray! for the accomplishment of a big project, and the leadership Brandt offered to see it through. Now we need to do paperwork and hopefully schedule an eagle court of honor.
