Field Trip Friday #32--Tulip Festival

For Field Trip Friday, we went to the Tulip Festival at Thanksgiving Point.  It was a gloriously beautiful afternoon, the flowers were spectacular, and we got to be with Mikayla and Brick, and Tysen and her crew.  The children had a great time running around, and while it was a bit of a challenge keeping track of all of them, it was wonderful to be together in such lovely surroundings.  And we all got a snow cone too!

Blythe wanted to take really a lot (a LOT) of pictures of the flowers.  I had taken our small camera so she could take as many as she wanted, but the battery died too soon (poor planning on my part), so I had to take pictures for her.  "Mom!" she would cry, "Look at how beautiful this one is! Take a picture!"  So we have lots of flower photos.

Brick ran off the path and into the shrubbery.

We sent Blythe in to fetch him.

He didn't seem to mind being hauled around Blythe.

Did I mention that the kids did lots of running around?

Although Blythe is the only one pictured running here, 

she was not the only one running.
