Friday Field Trip #33--Payson Temple Open House

We have been eagerly anticipating going to the open house for the Payson Temple.  I have been talking to the children about the temple and reminding them of our family trips there for their sealings.  I love talking to them about those days, when we felt the spirit and cried lots of happy tears.   I'm glad Brandt remembers parts of Blythe's sealing.  I recently retold him the whole story of his sealing day and he was absolutely delighted with the whole thing, beginning to end.  I was too, remembering that wonderful day and how happy we were to have Brandt sealed to us.  And then to be able to do it again three years later with Blythe.  Happy, happy, happy.

Kent and Grandma Sue both took work off, and with Mikayla and Brick and Donovan we all went to the open house.  The temple is absolutely gorgeous.  Everything is amazingly detailed and beautiful and there is such a great spirit there.  Brandt was super sweet and took Brick through the whole building, holding his hand and making sure he didn't get lost.  Donovan was impressed by the "sparklies on the ceiling"--the chandeliers, and Blythe found the whole thing so overwhelming lovely she threw herself on the floor of the celestial room saying, "I could stay here all day."  I quickly helped her to her feet.

It was such a sweet experience, so nice to be all together, and to enjoy being in Heavenly Father's house with the children.  It was made even sweeter by stopping for milk shakes on the way home.  A truly wonderful field trip Friday.
