Service Saturday

This morning, as a mother's day gift to Grandma Sue, most of the DeMartinis went over to my mom's house to work in the yard.  Mom had several trees she wanted to remove, other trees and bushes that needed to be trimmed, and some general yard clean-up done.  We wanted to go last Saturday, but it rained.  It was threatening rain all morning, but we worked fast and were able to get everything Sue wanted done today done.  Then it rained.  The kids were good about helping to haul branches to the trailer, and when it came time to pull a tree we were taking out, they were keen to be involved.  While Bryan and Christopher took care of the chainsawing, the rest of the crew pulled with the rope to make sure it fell where we wanted, and to keep all the little bodies out of the way.  It was a great way to spend the morning, and the children felt good for helping.  Thanks Mik for taking pictures!
