Grandpa George was here with us all weekend, having come from Indiana for the funeral. We were so happy to have him here. Brandt suggested that we have corn bread for breakfast, and as it is pretty much everyone's favorite, and sure enough, it was a big hit. The Primary sang beautifully during sacrament meeting, and then we had all the Barri here for dinner. We had kebabs, rice, salad, fruit, and cookies and homemade tutti frutti ice cream for dessert. It was beautiful and we ate outside in the backyard. After dinner, George told us what he is doing in Indiana and then bore his testimony to all of us. It was sweet. I am so grateful for his example and faithfulness and hope we can live up to his expectations.
We are super, super lucky to have Kent as the husband and father in our family. Kent is an exceptional dad, patient, complimentary, encouraging, fun. I want to be better because of him. He plays with Brandt and Blythe and is a primo good number one story teller. And did I mention how patient he is? Really, so patient. He is quick to praise and slow to anger, and he exercises his priesthood in all our behalf. He is a keeper.
Here are the Barri, post dinner.
