Demolition Derby

Tonight Brandt and I had a date to the Demolition Derby in Spanish Fork. The Demolition Derby cracks me up. It’s such a guy thing, driving a car around an arena smashing into other guys in cars. It just makes me laugh. They didn’t have the derby last year because of Covid, and we missed it. It was good to be back. We attended with Mikayla and Guy, Eugene, Sharae, Blake, Makenna, and Luke.

We went to dinner at Strap Tank in Springville before the derby. We laughed and shared bites of tasty stuff, and felt bad for Blake who didn't get his dinner because the server forgot to write it down. Don't worry; he didn't go away hungry. At the derby, we cheered and rooted, then gasped when oil erupted from a car engine, sprayed over the car, then caught fire. The driver was unhurt and the fire department took immediate action. There are always firemen standing around “just in case,” but they rarely have much to do. This fire was scary. Several cars lost front wheels, but drove on, lopsided. A good time was had by all.
