Interesting Facts

Brandt has been working on his State Fair project.  He got West Virginia.  At school, he put together some interesting facts about West Virginia, and then asked me to edit them for him.  Here is what he sent.  I guess that interesting fact #5 didn't get completely sent.  I'm sure it is fascinating and I'll see something about it later.

Five Interesting Facts About West Virginia
1. West Virginia has the world’s largest sycamore tree.
2. First brick street was laid in Charleston  on Oct 23,1870.
3. First spa open to the public in 1756.
4. The first glass plant in West Virginia was in Wellsburg in 1815.

5. West Virginia

In response to Brandt's email, I sent him one of my own.  Here is my reply.

These ARE very interesting facts.  Here are five interesting facts about provolone cheese, which sounds like it should be made right here in Provo.
1. Made from milk of cows who live in southern Italy.  But it can also be made from buffalo milk.  Would you like to try and milk a buffalo?
2. It is pale yellow and has a pleasant aroma, unless left in the car for three days, and then it stinks.
3. The flavor of provolone gets more intense when it is melted.  Or left in the car.
4. It is frequently hung from the ceiling in Italian cheese shops and come in several shapes: pear shaped, sausage shaped, cone shaped, and bottle shaped.
5. Attached is a picture of a piece of provolone.
I love you.  And provolone.  But you WAAAAAAAAAAAAYYY more!
Mom
It is true that I love Brandt more than provolone, and it is true that it begins to stink if it's been left in the car for three days.  We know this because Blythe once "threw away" a piece of provolone in the cubby on the car door, and the whole car stank overwhelmingly of ripe cheese.  P-U!
