Slapstick Sonata

This evening we went to see a fantastic performance called Slapstick Sonata performed by Cirk La Putyka from Prague.  Here is how the arts brochure described them:
With a multi-talented cast of dancers, actors, mimes, and comedians, Prague-based Cirk La Putyka is one of Europe’s most pioneering physical theatre companies. Set to the music of Mozart, Handel, Shostakovich and others, Slapstick Sonata is an absurd yet poetic theater piece without text or words. Visual poetry meets physical comedy with a dash of contemporary circus in this glorious explosion of color, humor, movement, and silliness.
We all enjoyed the show which was very funny and amazingly athletic.  I love that BYU brings in such interesting performers.

And speaking of interesting performers, Brandt and Blythe had been doing Harry Potter imaginings prior to departure and both felt it absolutely necessary to wear their Gryffindor robes to the show.  Who am I to argue with people who make me laugh?

This cello featured twice in the show and wasn't played either time.
