Today is Easter. Once again I have not done a very good job of focusing our attention on the real meaning of Easter and making it a significant day. I need to be better about this. We did talk about the resurrection in family home evening, and both Kent and I bore our testimonies of Heaven Father's plan for us as his children and how Christ makes that plan possible. But as far as really helping our kids see the importance of Easter, I didn't do well this year. We also had fast and testimony meeting today because next week is General Conference and the week after is Stake Conference, so we didn't even have a meeting focused on Easter, though the choir did perform and many bore testimony about Easter. I need to do better.
Yesterday we had the DeMartinis come over for an egg hunt and some dinner. We grilled chicken and had yummy salads, and the kids all ran around together. We hid eggs in the front and back, in all my cute little plants. Grandma Sue brought one egg for each of the kids, but they had money in them, so one egg was enough. It was fun to be together and enjoy the beautiful weather and being a family.
