A Short Drive to Sheep

My mom has a friend, Delora, who has sheep--three ewes and a buck.  Two of the ewes had lambs a short time ago, and knowing that we would receive a warmer welcome from them than the sheep we saw last week, we made a trip to Springville to see them yesterday.

Waldo, Minnie Pearl, Mary Wilma, and Muffin, as well as the lambs Clarice, Rupert, and Robert were super excited about the carrots we brought.  They came right up to us and eagerly accepted our treats.  They were so close, Blythe wouldn't let me put her down.  We also saw Bunny, the next door neighbor goat.  She was not interested in the carrots.  Apparently, she really likes Ritz crackers.  The sheep haven't been sheered yet, and Delora promised she would call us when the sheep sheerer came so we could watch.  All in all, a much better sheep experience.

Mary Wilma will likely have a lamb soon.
She is "bagging."

Look at those sweet faces.

Brandt and Muffin.  He just gave her a carrot and she is eager for another.
No pictures of Blythe with sheep because she wouldn't let me put her down.
