And That About Sums It Up


Tonight Blythe said to me, "I am the mom.  I making dinner.  The kids are sleeping."
I said, "You are making dinner because that is what moms do?"
"Yes," she said.  
"What else do moms do?" I inquired.
"They clean the house," she replied.
"What else?" I asked again.
"Nothing."

So there you have it.  Moms don't read stories or go on walks or play house or take fun trips to the library.  They don't spank their children and yell at them when they are frustrated.  They don't kiss their kids goodnight or tickle them until they snort.  Moms make dinner and clean the house.
