Cookie, Cookie, Cookie Starts With C

On any given Wednesday, you will almost always find us at the library for story time.  We love story time.  This month, it being Christmas and all, story time was only offered the first week of the month.  So yesterday we were at loose ends.  Tysen had called to see what we might do together, and we came up with three possibilities.  We could go to the Bean Museum (stuffed animals), we could go see it snow at the Provo mall (I'm not sure how that works), or we could get together and make sugar cookies.  When I gave Brandt the options, he enthusiastically said, "Make cookies!"

So we did.

I took cookie dough and frosting over to Tysen's house, and with the help of Brandt, Blythe, Ava, Crew, Griffin, and Andrew (Tysen's nephew) and his friend Cooper, we cut out and then decorated cookies.  It was barely controlled chaos, as usual.  Everyone wanted to help cut out, everyone wanted to try the cookie dough, and everyone wanted to frost the cookies and eat sprinkles well before the cookies had cooled.

We did have a good time, the cookies did get frosted (and eaten), and we had a fun activity.  Here are some pictures, but I am disappointed in all of them.  My camera is being stupid and not focusing.  All the sheep pictures yesterday were blurry, and all the cookie making pictures are too.  Maybe I need a new camera for Christmas.

Here are the cookies Brandt and Blythe frosted and sprinkled.
They were all immediately consumed upon decoration completion.

So many blue sprinkles led to . . .

Blythe with blue lips.
Yum!

The completed cookies.
We decorated bells, stars, trees, snowballs, and elephants.
That's right, Christmas elephants.
You know, from the stable, where baby Jesus was born.
