Seminary Graduation

This evening, after our family party, we attended Brandt's seminary graduation. As with regular high school graduation, I wasn't sure Brandt was going to graduate from seminary. I'd been receiving emails from the seminary secretary stating that Brandt had missed too many days and needed to make up absences before a certain date. He assured me he had made them up, but I had to call the secretary and confirm with her. She, in turn, had to confirm with Brandt's seminary teacher because he had not marked the made up days. In the end, Brandt qualified.

Phew!

Graduation was very nice. Sarah Oyler, our culdesac neighbor, spoke, all the seminary graduates sang "I'll Go Where You Want Me to Go", and then all the graduates walked and were presented with their diplomas. Our ward had the most graduated, with eighteen graduates. Eighteen! It was wonderful to see them up there. They are beautiful young people, full of the spirit, off to do good things and make a difference in the world. I'm so impressed with them and was happy to be able to celebrate them.

Singing all together.
When it was announced that all the graduates were going to sing,
I turned to Brandt and asked, "Did you know you were singing?
Have you practiced this song?"
It was a "No" to both.
But even without practice, they sounded great.
