Once or twice a year we used to gather as a family at the Cutler's house across the cul-de-sac for a big swim party. Since the Cutlers have moved, we haven't been able to do that. Our new neighbors are reluctant to let other people use the pool for liability reasons which I totally understand. Christopher suggested that we meet at a friend's house who lives in their stake. They have an amazing pool too with water slide and waterfall just like the Cutler's pool, and he arranged for us to go swim there.
Tonight was the night and we met to swim and have dinner. The pool really was impressive. They have rock walls and large space and we had a great time. Foolishly, all of us big bodies tried to form a train on the water slide. Unlike the Cutler's, the water at the end of the slide is not very deep, so as we all shot out of the water slide, we just piled on top of each other. Sharae's knee was badly scraped, Mikayla wrenched her ankle, I got pushed way underwater and felt like I was going to drown. Not our best and brightest moment. All in all, however, it was great fun being together.
