Mikayla and I spent several hours in the middle of the night saving a spot along the parade route. We have done this for several years now. It's our thing. It is wonderful to have uninterrupted time to talk and laugh. We played some games, made ice cream for Fourth festivities (vanilla, lime sorbet, orangesicle, and chocolate), and talked and talked and talked. I'll be tired tomorrow, but it's great being with Mik.
