Grandpa George's 90th Birthday

Today we celebrated Grandpa George's 90th birthday.  His actual birthday is in February, but he wasn't here then, and he is now, so we had a party today.  He's been in town for a couple of weeks, staying with Brent and Brenda, and we have been glad to have him around.  We miss him when he is far away in Indiana.

As is evident from the picture, many family members gathered to celebrate George, his life, and legacy.  Brandt and Blythe are the youngest of his 31 grandchildren (they are 30 and 31), and he has 26.5 great-grandchildren (just learned a niece is pregnant).  It was marvelous to be together.  We met at Molly's, a lovely restaurant, and had a delicious meal.  Brenda put together a trivia quiz about George's life and we all tried to guess what was true and what was not about his life.  Kent did pretty well.  My favorite fact was that on their honeymoon, Merlynn had to give George shots in his bum because he had a staph infection.  We visited and took pictures and were delighted to be together for a happy occasion, not a funeral.

I'm going to try and identify everyone in the picture below, just so I don't forget anyone.
Kent & me, Steve & Sunny, Nate & Emily, Lee, Cammie, and Aaron, Micah, Jonathan with Caleb on his shoulders, Seth, Brandon & Mandi, a Sanders first cousin whose name I don't know, Sharon, Josh holding Tyson, Lee & Diana Freeman, Phil & Allison Taut, Laurie & Jonathan Russell (who was taking the picture), Matt holding Aubrey, Amy, Bertha & Dwight, Brenda & Brent, David, Wendell & Geraldine, the Menafees who are longtime friends of George, George the Birthday Boy, Jim, Gae & Lou, and the kids on the floor from left to right: Brandt, Blythe, Ruby, Annie, Ryan, Ty, Zach, and Jack.  Craig, Monica, and Ezie were there too, but they left before the picture taking began.
