Fun With Grandma Dawn

Blythe, and to a lesser degree Brandt, have been doing some fun things with Grandma Dawn over the past couple of weeks.  Dawn has been very good about sending me pictures of their activities, almost at the very moment they are happening.  It is obvious the kids have had a great time.  All these pictures have transferred from the phone to the computer, and I'm not sure about the quality.

First activity was McKenna's birthday party on August 15th.  Blythe went as the "big sister" to help Grandma with party stuff, entertaining the little girls who were there and helping with games.  She came home rather excited about her contribution, and with a horse cupcake and party prizes for Brandt.  Blythe is always so happy to be with her half-siblings, and the party was no exception.  McKenna turned the big five!

On Saturday, August 22, Dawn texted me to ask if the kids could come with them to the Lindon Horse Show.  I had lots of work to do, as did Kent, and we knew Brandt and Blythe would certainly have a much funner time with Dawn, so off they went.  They did races (none of which Brandt participated in) and had treats, and watched the horses.  Blythe did the three legged race with Keyaira; the two of them won handily.  Blythe did a gunnysack race and came in second.  They returned happily entertained.

Finally, today is Keyaira's birthday.  She called earlier in the week and asked if she could come hang out with Blythe after school.  In the end, Dawn took everyone to the splash pad at Pioneer Park.  I was watching Brick and Cora and Brandt wanted to play with Brick.  I would have loaded everyone in the car and gone to the splash pad too, but I was also canning.  So Blythe went along and got really wet.  She had a good time.  Again.  That Grandma Dawn knows how to keep things lively!  Thanks!  We love you all!
