Snowshoeing

This morning, not too early, I went snowshoeing with Janie Rasmussen.  It was super cold, about 9 degrees when we got back to the car, but it was incredibly beautiful.  We went to Big Springs and hiked for about an hour.  The air was crisp, the tree limbs still piled with snow, and the creek we hiked along was filled with ice and snow.  It looked so cold.  I was really only cold at the beginning, before we got moving, because once we actually started hiking, everything warmed up.  It was a delight to be with Janie, to be outside, and to be active.  I'm so grateful for my health, to have a strong body that does all I want it to do.  I hope we go again.
