Sledding With Friends

It has been snowing and snowing and both Brandt and Blythe got new sleds for Christmas, but this whole break from school we've been busy doing Christmas prep stuff and then house stuff, that we have hardly been outside and haven't been sledding.  But today is the last day of Christmas break, it was snowing again, and I felt like we absolutely had to get out, go up to Rock Canyon Park, and sled.  So we loaded up the car along with Jarom, Sarah, and Sam Oyler, and headed up for some snow fun.

We had a great time!  The kids were wild and so was the weather.  It was snowing so hard at one point we couldn't see the other side of the bowl.  But that did not dampen the enjoyment of the activity.  Jarom had brought a snowboard and kept trying to do tricks, only to land on his bum.  Brandt kept trying to sled into other people--mostly the girls--much to their dismay.  I got in a few runs and took lots of pictures, and we generally wore ourselves out trudging up the hill.  I felt really good about getting out, and really good about coming home to hot chocolate.  Hooray for snow!

I got lots of compliments on my colorful crocheted hat.
