We Return Home

Our flight home from Paris (direct!) left the airport at 10:40am.  This meant that we were able to wake at decent hour, have a bite to eat, and then make our way to the airport directly from the metro stop just down the street.  It was all fairly relaxed.  We didn't have to wait in line at the check-in counter, we breezed through customs and security, and had plenty of time to find a croissant to munch, lounge around, and go to the bathroom before we got on the plane.  We had upgraded to economy comfort seating, so we had extra room, an empty chair next to Blythe, and we each had our own screens in the back of the seat in front of us, so everyone got to watch what they wanted.  I watched four movies, and I think Blythe watched four too.  We had plenty of snacks for the children to eat, we flew through the day not the night, and everyone arrived home tired up happy.  It was the perfect ending to a practically perfect trip.  We were all happy to be going home, but we had such a wonderful time.

Brandt standing next to the door of the metro so he can call out, "All aboard!" at each stop.
There were a lot of stops.

Upon our return, we found a profusion of spring flowers in the bed next to the garage, and even more dandelions going to seed all over the front lawn.  It was warm and lovely (warmer than it had been our whole trip), and we were happy to be back where we belong.

Blythe had a happy reunion with all her animals.
She wanted to take all of these with us, but as they wouldn't all fit in the suitcase,
she left them with Grandma Sue who took very good care of them.
